Primary market sales rose as inventory stayed tight
Freddie Mac put the 30-year fixed rate at 7.32% as of October 22, 2026. That is not a small number. Yet buyers kept showing up across this market.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 626 homes sold and 583 pending sales across ZIPs 29569, 29568, 29545 and 29511 in the three months ending August 31, 2026. Demand did not disappear. But the homes available to buy dropped too, which means pricing still matters.
Nearly as many homes were pending as were for sale. That tells you supply is tight. One wrong price and a home sits while others move.
Longs (29568): the biggest piece of the market
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 432 homes sold in ZIP 29568 in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 35% from the same months of 2025. The median sale price there was $329,900, up 3.7% year over year.
Homes for sale in 29568 fell 21.1% compared with a year ago, the Real Estate Data Aggregator shows. Fewer choices for buyers, but buyers still came. Median days on market dropped 38 days shorter than the same period last year, landing at 81 days.

Aynor (29511): prices dipped a little, but sales jumped

Green Sea (29545): a very small sample

What the wider picture says
Freddie Mac reported the 30-year fixed rate averaged 7.32% as of October 22, 2026. The 15-year fixed averaged 6.68%. Those are not low numbers.
The National Association of Realtors reported existing-home sales across the country reached 3.99 million units in September 2026. Prices nationally rose 1.3% that same month. The Primary market's own numbers ran ahead of that pace in both sales growth and price gains in most ZIPs.
Realtor.com put the average mortgage rate at 7.40% as of October 22, 2026. Rates at that level slow some buyers. But the Real Estate Data Aggregator's count of 626 sales here shows enough buyers pushed through anyway.
What this means for homeowners here
Sales rose sharply across this market. Supply fell in every ZIP with enough data to measure. That combination usually rewards sellers who price carefully from the start.
Not every home sold fast. Median days on market ranged from 81 to 95 days across the three main ZIPs, the Real Estate Data Aggregator shows. Homes priced right moved. Others sat.
Buyers are still out there. The 583 pending sales across the Primary market in the three months ending August 31, 2026 confirm that. Rates above 7% did not stop them.
- 626 homes sold.
- 583 more were pending.
- Supply fell in every ZIP with full data.
- Prices rose in Longs and Loris, dipped a little in Aynor.
- Homes that went under contract fast did so within two weeks of listing.
- The market is moving, but the right price still decides who moves and who waits.
One street can read very differently from the whole ZIP code. A block near a school, a road with new construction, or a neighborhood with a homeowners association can each shift the numbers you see here. The market-wide figures are a starting point, not a finish line.
